Stripping and Refinishing Painted Wood

Our foreman Marlon and painter Jose knew that under all the paint on the stairway, newel post, and landing window there was beautiful wood grain. They were right!

Stripping the entryway woodwork and the railing and newel post yielded a delightful outcome. They did extensive covering and masking to protect adjacent surfaces while we carefully stripped, stained, and varnished the revealed beauty of the newly exposed woodwork.

The project's unique features, including a porthole window and a very detailed appliqué on the newel post, became among the loveliest features of their home. The walls were also painted.
