Our Family
We believe that the quality of our work is only exceeded by the quality of our people. Our estimator and field manager Ron Wolfe and our foremen, Adam Fredericks, Hugo Reynosa, and Marlon Reynosa have nearly 100 years of combined painting experience and over 60 years with Jerry Wind.
Adam Fredericks
has worked with Jerry since 1998 and is his senior foreman. A professional painter since the age of 18, Adam is an excellent trainer of our newer painters and has a lot to offer everyone on his crew. He loves orchestrating and completing a job and is a very friendly customer service professional. Jerry has relied on Adam for large project oversight, crew formation and customer satisfaction for many years.
Marlon Reynosa
is an invaluable company manager and foreman. Our foremen and painters respect Marlon as a skilled leader and teacher. He always makes our customers feel like they are in good hands. He makes enameled woodwork glow and also loves refinishing old wood and matching it to existing wood surfaces. Marlon is a prime color matcher, decorative painter, and also our main floor refinisher. He painted for several years in Guatemala and has worked with Jerry since 2001.
Susan Wind
is Jerry’s favorite employee, his wife and best friend of 40 years. He doesn’t ask her to paint however, because she says she gets more paint on herself than on the wall. Susan manages the payroll and administrative tasks of our business with joy and love. She is appreciated and respected as the company mom by all our workers. Additionally, Susan is an exceptionally good Le Cordon Bleu-trained cook and baker.
Jerry Wind
graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1974 and spent the next six years teaching English and Religion to 7th and 8th graders and coordinating large conferences. The seasonal nature of his employment led him to seek temporary work as a roofer’s helper, painter, and cleaner. His knack for painting led him to start his own business, Jerry Wind Quality Painting, in 1980. Jerry's business grew quickly, largely because of the strong relationships he built with customers and other painters. Jerry trains all of his employees to use the same care and attention to detail that helped him build his business from day one.
Hugo Reynosa
grew up in Guatemala and has lived in St. Paul for 19 years with his wife Emily and two children. He loves playing and watching soccer. He has been a restaurant chef and a financial advisor and has also had about 5 years of painting experience. He chose to join our company about two years ago to work with his brother Marlon who has been with us for 17 years. Hugo has added greatly to his painting skill as he has been here working on all types of painting projects. He loves working with people and relating to customers as well. He is naturally very engaging and likeable. He is our newest foreman.
Juan Ramirez
has lived in Minneapolis for 18 years with his wife Maria and their 3 children. He comes from a family of 5 brothers and 5 sisters, most of whom live in Mexico. Juan's whole family loves and plays soccer. His oldest son, Dillon, who is now 15, is a nationally recognized math whiz who visited the White House two years ago after winning a national contest! We were all impressed. Juan has been working very hard at getting his U.S. citizenship. He begins English classes in the fall to improve communication skills. Juan is very soft spoken but has a great sense of humor. Our other employees find him very enjoyable to work with. Juan's plaster repair and painting skills are very advanced for only having been with Painting by Jerry Wind for just 3 years. He is a reliable employee and craftsman.
Haakon Deach
is a fine example of our young seasonal painters. Haakon has gone through some classroom safety and policy training at Painting by Jerry Wind and a lot of on the job training from our experienced foremen. He is in his third summer with us now in 2018. He graduated from high school from Trinity School at River Ridge in Eagan, as many of our summer painters have. He goes to college at Loyola University in Maryland. He grew up in Burnsville and has one sister. Haakon likes painting because he is able to work with his hands and learn a great skill. He especially has learned a lot about great surface preparation. He loves working with all our crew members and also the fact that he gets to work on all different types of jobs for great customers all over the Twin Cities area. He recently lived in Norway for 9 months and was also able to visit Spain, Italy, Greece and Sweden. We hope to have Haakon back for many more summers to come.
